“Ocean Beats Entertainment’s “Young C” kicks off his 2017 with a brand new jam – “Original Woman”, accompanied with a crisp visuals. Track was produced by raving producer – Samklef.
Kayode Iyanuoluwa Samuel (born 14 July 1994 in Ikere,Ekiti state, Nigeria), better known by his stage name Young C, is a Nigerian singer & songwriter, with a diverse musical style. He infuses and takes from an influence of Afropop, Hip-hop, R&B, Reggae as well as Dancehall.
Young C started like most great musicians, singing in the choir at his
church as a teenager. He gained his musical experience and inspiration from there deciding to pursue a career in music.
He decided to move to Lagos where he began the quest to further pursue his singing career moving from one studio to another.
In 2012 he recorded his promo singles “TINA” and “ETIGI AZONTO”. After extensive exposure and studying the music industry in Africa he took time to work on his vocal skills and relocated to Cape Town, South Africa in 2014.
Within a few months of being in Cape Town his talent was soon heard of on the streets and a young ambitious record label seeking new talent to grow with signed him. Oceanbeats Entertainment is an Afrocentric record label focused on taking African music to new heights.
In 2016, after much hard work and time spent into re-branding, Young C released his first official single produced by Kiddominant titled “Shey Na Luv” which brought him and his label the buzz and attention they aimed for.
Fast forward to 2017 and Young C is back again with another infectious tune dubbed “Original Woman”, produced by the massively talented Nigerian producer – Samklef.”
